I didn't consider the WPATH standards when writing this content piece. However, those standards are behind. And my gender dysphoria therapist forwarded me a conversation between him and a social worker where they talked about that. It's a rock and a hard place. What I didn't say in the article is that five surgeries would have all been done in less than 12 months had what I set up not fallen through (link: https://alyvalscarlett.medium.com/receiving-gender-affirming-care-hasnt-worked-out-for-me-three-times-577de218ff77). (I am going to add something to the effect of this paragraph to the article.)

I believe you when you say that many surgeons requires letters from two mental health professionals. However, I had never heard of that.
