If You Are Medically Transitioning and in Utah, Don’t See Dr. Rebecca Abbey in Taylorsville

Medically transitioning? In Utah? Don’t see Dr. Rebecca Abbey with University of Utah Health. (She works at the Westridge Health Center in Taylorsville.)

Abbey was not just rude, but heartless. And impatient. And dishonest. And a poor listener. And lacking in knowledge.

I don’t know if she should be wearing a pin that says she’s queer-friendly.

Abbey claimed to her supervisor that I said Abbey was “incompetent.” And the supervisor said her story is significantly different from mine.

5/5 Pinocchio noses for Abbey.

First, Abbey lacks knowledge on gender transitioning. She claimed that all gender transition-related surgeries have to wait for at least 12 months from a person starting hormone replacement therapy.

That’s simply not true.

I’ve seen firsthand that it’s not, having gotten a procedure (breast augmentation surgery) in the Los Angeles area. I got it in significantly less time than 12 months.
