Is America’s president trying to foster the creation of propaganda (harmful misinformation) and highly discourage something that’s not anti-American? In an anti-transgender education order he made, U.S. President Donald Trump calls what seems clear to be propaganda a “patriotic education” and claims that gender identity is “anti-American.” I’m a patriotic transgender woman.

I believe that the United States is as awesome as any country in the world. Where it doesn’t care enough for its people, it makes up for in the opportunities it provides. Its heritage in terms of rebellion is also commendable.

Being a proud American, I was thus shocked to read in Trump’s anti-transgender executive order, “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling,” that a “‘patriotic education’ (apparently) means a presentation of the history of America grounded in an … inspiring, and ennobling characterization of America’s founding and foundational principles … and the concept that celebration of America’s … history is proper.”

The order seeks this “patriotic education.”

I was also shocked to read in the order that gender identity is (apparently) “anti-American.” I am happy to have a conversation about if it’s American. Probably, the the U.S. has reached a point where it’s Western, American vs. pre-Western, globalist thought.

But gender identity is “anti-American?”

Also, the order uses the term “gender ideology.” Is it that or “gender identity?”
